@Beckie: You may be right about that one but due to the increased viscosity making the drop break the liquid's surface a task of its own. I'm glad you like it and timing was almost impossible. I mean I thought I had it from the previous shot (with the water splash) but this just killed me until I got it right...

@Imarchi: Thanks :) I used the pop-up flash on my E-500, set it to manual (its guide number is 16) and set it to 1/16 power, exposed at 1/160 with f/5.6 and i believe just the cokin +3 filter darkening the frame a bit. EXIF is really f'd up since i'm using a new image resize software (the old one made the pictures soft) and this one has that effect. maybe i'll find another given time and non-sloth..

It's pretty tricky to take shots like this one because you need to be in two places at once, with 3 to 4 hands...

But I'm really happy because of all the feedback :)

@Art Monkey: thanks. patience is kinda needed since it gets frustrating. but it's fun, you try new angles, try new timings, see if your body knows that it takes a fraction of a second for the drop to fall, then half a second for you to react, another half a second shutter lag, that immeasurable time to actually make the aureola and then actually get the focus right, the flash power, the exposure. All in all i think it took me about 2hours. But that's lax, not two hours constant shooting. Anyway if you want to i'll teach you how, just email me.

@gabriel: i like to play with the elements. and i'm lazy lately. Also, lately i like to do concerts. also, there ain't much time so i just reuse the same shoot over and over again.
