sandyPosted by eydryan (Bucharest, Romania) on 25 June 2007 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio. ah, just seep in the relaxation and feel that fresh seaside air coming in. it leads you away, just let it take you... from Italy, spent a heap of time editing, 13 layers , manual masking for some, plus some filters, dodging and burning. i really wonder if it was worth it but i like the mystery of it all. enjoy Visit my new SEO blog: eydryan.com

Dawn Sutherland from Phoenix, United StatesFor me it was absolutely worth every moment you spent on it! I could see this hanging on my wall now. Stunning capture and awesome perspective. 25 Jun 2007 5:14am @Dawn Sutherland: Why thanks a lot dawn :) And hey, if you want it, email me and we can sort something out :) Again thanks a lot for you kind comment, it really makes me feel proud of it :) {H} creatives from Santa Clara, United StatesLove the composition, dude! The post processing rocks on this one! It was worth it! 25 Jun 2007 7:21am @{H} creatives: Thanks dude :) I'm really glad you appreciate it because it was quite a bit of work. Glad to see it's really worth it. Thanks again for the encouragement and the visit. @Juanra: gracias... i think anyway, try to use english if you can, because i can't speak all the languages... zoloper from Romaniauu very nice :D .. the way you framed it is perfect for this type of shot 25 Jun 2007 11:19am @zoloper: thanks my furry amigo. it was an instict shot really since my girlfriend has a thing against posing for my shots... so i didn't really have much time. anyway your idea is nice but i dunno i think people would notice and say hey those aren't her prints, she has slippers on. it's a psychological thing i guess. kairospix from Singapore, Singaporei think you did a very good post processing here 25 Jun 2007 12:38pm @kairospix: hmm, your comment really helps me understand something. u know, they always say use photoshop to enhance an already perfect image. and now i get it. this is no way a perfect image but it's ok. thanks for your comment and visit again :) Catalin from Bucharest, Romaniasalutare! cred k la asta te-ai referit cand ai zis k una o sa-mi placa. daca asa e, ai nimerit-o, chiar imi place. cred k -sar fi incadrat perfect in tema "evocare" in cadrul concursului din revista photo magazine. si inca ceva, a meritat editarea, e reusita poza. bafta si la mai multe reusite;) 25 Jun 2007 7:55pm @Catalin: salut catalin, nu e chiar asta dar nush, poate aialalta nu o sa iti placa la fel de mult. oricum, e la latitudinea ta :) cat despre photo magazine, sincer mi se pare o porcarie dar ma rog... eu citeam pe vremuri practical photography la british si cand am vazut o photo magazine am clasificat-o cam drept o gluma fata de aia. dar deh, fiecare cu placerile lui. eu prefer sa invat cum sa fac una alta, altii prefera sa vada interviuri cu unii care fac. interviuri cu pusti bogati si oameni care fac poze de produs... oameni care nu prea au ce zice. dar ma rog, si eu citesc interviuri dar pe dps. ma rog, oricum ideea e ca m-am lamurit cu tot ce inseamna forumuri si reviste foto in Romania: sunt o gluma, sunt pline de pustani care se dau mari si fac misto de cei care nu stiu si nu au alt scop decat de a face bani din reclame. sincer acum, ce a creat photo magazine? nimic... mersi catalin, chiar imi pare bine ca ai stat sa comentezi la ea, si chiar imi pare bine ca iti place si tie care esti mai old school asa.. :) Vaidas from Leeds, United KingdomExcellent composition! Really makes you feel there is a story behind those footprints :) 25 Jun 2007 9:54pm @Vaidas: thanks vaidas :) i like it because it reminds me of the journey and the relaxation and the worry-free environment and all that... but then again you can;t really relate. but what i hope is that there is a story in anyone of us that can be adapted to this image... as for sepia, it's not really sepia. it's a 50% red photo filter and then a 25% yellow one. then saturation, contrast, adjustment layers you name it... did a lot of tinkering with the tones and then tried to bring out the white in the pebbles... and i'm glad you like the colour. all these comments really make me feel good about myself in a sense that my time spent editing is equally rewarded by all you guys. thanks a lot people :) Daroru from Amagasaki, JapanThis is a very classy shot indeed. Looks very well thought-out and handled. 27 Jun 2007 1:50pm @Daroru: Thanks daroru, as i said, this is one hell of an edit... i looked at the original today and smiled a bit. but enough, you guys are making me too cocky :) i'm joking, thanks for your comment and visit :) @Nadine: Thanks Nadine although i can't really understand what you mean. ColNed Pictures from Amersfoort, NetherlandsLovely shot and the angle you used is one I like a lot for shots at the beach. Nice precessing. 29 Jun 2007 9:00am @ColNed Pictures: thanks mate :) SPunkt from -, GermanyI like this one! Very good pp. Also I like that it is not barefooted prints - one expects them on a picture like that and - they are not there. That's pretty cool. 30 Jun 2007 8:54pm @SPunkt: thanks :) hehe, yeah, that's what i wanted to create a bit of confusion since if you look closely the prints are too big for her :) again thanks :) Catalina from Bucuresti, RomaniaAgain... so glad to be here and see all this. It's refreshing. I am so tired to watch almost the same style at many photographers. What I see here is unique.. 4 Jul 2007 4:45pm @Catalina: I'm really happy to see someone take so much interest in my work and with such passion. Thank you, you make me feel like it's worth posting all of these :) And I'm quite far from my own style really, but maybe it's coming along with a bit from here, a bit from there and all in all a mix that is wholly unique :) Again thanks for the comments and the energy :) @alla: I believe this to be one of my true achievements :) of course 90% of its value is PP but indeed it started with a good shot in camera and ended up what i like to believe is a great shot after PP. again, thanks for your comment, they're what motivate me to shoot and post :) |
