hehe, can you feel its warmth?... last day in Italy (by no means the last photo from there) i woke up at 5am to take photos of this sunrise. it was beautiful, especially with the fog there in the background and i don't know it just makes me feel that freedom flow through me...
thanks everyone for their comments on this series and thank you for helping me believe in myself. thanks for taking those 30 seconds to tell me if i'm right or wrong with this and why.
More photos come tomorrow... I have about 3 favourite picks left and then I'll see if I can dig up anything else I like.
This photo is again an edit, but i used a lot of gradient masks this time. and photo filters. and curves. and god knows what else :)

@Erik: thanks eric, always a pleasure to receive comments :) and i'm really happy when people like what i do (and with a reason) so thanks again and thanks for dropping by. keep tuned though, there are a few on the pipe still...
nice has an ethereal feel to it! can see the fog - nice capture! curious what camera and lens you used... be great to if you can post the exif data... we can learn from you too! :)

@kairospix: thanks, i really liked the way it looked and was afraid i hadn't captured the whole feel in it. thanks for reassuring me :) as for the camera it's the oly e-500 with the 14-45 f/3.5-5.6 (firmware update has it at f/3.5-4.9 in some settings) and for this shot the 40-150 f/3.5-4.5 (which with the crop factor of 2x gives me a nice 300mm equivalent). as for the exif not showing, it's a heap of trouble since adobe is moronic and discards it and my resizing software corrupts it... i'll test out more and see maybe i can find a better one...
uuu foggy pictures :P .. hope you'll make more of this . yeap it deserves the effort to wake up that early. i must say i am not staying at one of your photos only for 30 sec to look+comm .. i like to observe the details and read other comm :P
hey kairospix . i can tell you it is an olympus e500 (check older photos) .. the lens are zuiko but i can't tell the focal length .. although it seems like 45mm (?)

@zoloper: hehe, tricky little things... there are a few more and at least one i want to post (although it;s a bit too similar to this one and therefore will be a while until i do post it...) and it was absolutely a bitch to wake up at that hour since i had the flight later that day and so it was a looong day...
hehe, yeah, it's pretty fun to do that i guess, i sure love reading my own comments :)
as for what kairospix said, i guess i'll just post the exif manually... if need be.
This is the view from ur house? REALLY COOOL!!!

@Levine: hehe, i wish dude... it was from a vacation in italy i went to about a week or so ago... stayed on the 11th floor and our hotel was the tallest (16 floors - which reminds me i wanted to go up on the hotel - damn i forgot... :(( ) wish i could live there though...
Hi eydryan - another great one! Good job in capturing the sunrise...well worth waking up at 5 a.m. B-) Thanks for sharing your talent with us!

@{H} creatives: Thanks mate! :) It was especially annoying since I need only turn and there was my girlfriend in the hotel room sleeping snuggly while i was out on the balcony freezing to death :) But hey, if you think it was worth it too, yeah, it was...
I've got this other image which was quite hard to capture but quite unimpressive i'm afraid :(( it'll come later.
anyway, you're welcome, i'm just glad you guys like it :) and keep tuned there at least 3-4 more picks of mine (except today which is just a rushjob...)

That mist adds an extra special touch to your shot.

@Daroru: thanks daroru, that's what i liked most about this sunrise, and i was really pleased to see the mist was actually captured in the photos... thanks again for the comment :)

@Nick Passantino: glad you like it. be sure to check out today's shot too, it's kinda similar.
Do you know what this cross in the middle is? I like the tones a lot.
30 Jun 2007 3:56pm
@SPunkt: actually, it's just an odd shaped building :) i zoomed in on another shot and you can clearly see it's some sort of balcony or such...
glad you do mate :) thanks for the comment
This is a spectacular sunrise, a beautiful capture :)
