makeup???Posted by eydryan (Bucharest, Romania) on 7 July 2007 in People & Portrait. A strange little photo from my trip to Italy, where a girl who isn't more than 6-7 years old wears make-up. That's a bit odd, innit, but then again, with such parents I guess one can understand. Just a statement of quirkyness since the special photo i wanted to post had run out of time.. so quickpost... Catalin from Bucharest, RomaniaDaca poza e facuta in Romanica, nu ar trebui sa te mai mire. eu stau langa o scoala generala si zilnic raman tot mai uimit de cum se duc la scoala tancii de azi. si nu vb aici de machiaj... pacat de ei. poza e ok pt o candit picture, i-am inteles mesajul. am trecut si pe la Photoblog Awards 2007. bafta la concurs 7 Jul 2007 2:16pm @Catalin: E facuta la romanasi, desi e din Italia (cum am zis mai sus :P). si da, copiii din ziua de azi sunt ciudati... de fapt parintii sunt ciudati si de-aia si copiii. oricum nush, mi se pare aiurea sa machezi un copil asa mic... si mersi pentru vot :) Mahyar from Tehran, Iranoh my god! isn't she cute ( the childe of course!) 7 Jul 2007 6:40pm @Mahyar: well, aren't they all. and for that matter, when we're young, even ugly young people are beautiful, because of their energy. :) and thanks, parents are touchy about getting their kids photographed so i had to be stealthy. apparently it paid off. thanks for another visit my friend, be sure to come again :) Rags from Plano, United Stateswonderful image. The child seems to be so at peace. 7 Jul 2007 7:39pm @Rags: thanks mate, she was tiired and hey, who doesn't like such a little angel when she's sleeping? :) @MaryB: Thanks a lot mary, you're too kind :) @Pedro Lírio: Thanks Pedro. hopefully today will be a nice mountain photo... {H} creatives from Santa Clara, United StatesInteresting capture, eydryan! A bit too young, I agree. But even my 3 1/2 daughter is beginning to emulate my wife and would put on lipstick (for real) and eyeshadows, etc. (pretend). So don't know what's gonna happen 2 - 3 years from now...maybe she will put on the whole make-up! Yikes! p.s. you are right about the black thing on the left on my previous post...I tried to crop it out...hmmm...maybe I'll photoshop it out. Thanks, bud! 8 Jul 2007 10:14am @{H} creatives: thanks mate. really tough one too... ouch, dude, be careful with that, i mean the less make-up a woman uses the more beautiful she is.. you should really teach your daughter that. and i'd like to extend a blessing to her (i kept thinking and i cannot find anything like my traditional "may she live you healthy" - yeah, it barely makes sense, u know, lost in translation). anyway, you have got to be a happy man :) and hey, kids do grow up but they shouldn't hurry about it. as for the thing, i try to help.. i used to be a critic last winter or so on the tpf until some asshole admin banned me for using a blogger account as a repository for the edited pictures from there. real idiots some admins. that's why our jason is just such a great guy. thanks again dude for checking out my photos, you usually help me out here and it's fun talkin to you ;) @Inés: isn;t she? :) ColNed Pictures from Amersfoort, NetherlandsVery nice shot, I love the bright color here. well done. 9 Jul 2007 8:01am @ColNed Pictures: thanks dude and hey, ain;t nothin better at skintones that good old oly... alla from Toronto, CanadaYeah, looks a little strange with a make-up. Great capture tho! 9 Jul 2007 2:22pm @alla: thanks :) and yeah i felt that way too, there's just something wrong with the picture zoloper from Romaniaman .. u didn't leave a good bye note. u left the other photobloggers in the mist :)) 9 Jul 2007 7:51pm @zoloper: yeah, sorry my friend but i left in a hurry, when i left my computer was spread all over my room so... that's why... Catalina from Bucuresti, RomaniaE plina de pace si liniste fotografia... 10 Jul 2007 6:47am @Catalina: asa e , e intotdeauna ceva frumos intr-o poza cu un copil care doarme :) Daroru from Amagasaki, JapanIts interesting our perceptions of what's right/wrong, normal/strange... go to another country and something you'd never considered hits you. I don't see this photo as being of something odd, the warmth is the thing that grabs me... 16 Jul 2007 2:35pm @Daroru: yeah, different people see different things. and i know in japan kids tend to look older, and especially young girls but i won't detail what i know because i may be wrong. and yeah, every country has its habits... Rahul from Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaVery cute candid here dude. Kids are always fun to shoot. Nice work bro. 18 Jul 2007 7:13pm @Rahul: thanks mate :) and yeah, kids are fun to shoot but not when parents are around :( @tetsu: :) charlenecollins from JamaicaI have this problem with my 8 y.o niece.Everybody young wants to be old, everybody old wants to be young 30 Aug 2007 12:32am @charlenecollins: :) nicely said... well, i guess there's no easy way of making people appreciate life until they've passed through it.. |
