I just had this title on the tip of my tongue. Not sure if it's appropriate though and I'm sorry if it offends anyone...
She's a little doggy at the countryside where I've been for the past week or so, a cute little thing, she's no one's dog, I feed her when I get there though..
Post-processed it somewhat agressively, going for that aged look combined with a cross-processed look. tell me if i've got it in any way.
Anyway, thanks everyone who's visiting again, I need to get the blog up and running again.
Oh, and do visit tomorrow since you will surely like the image. Or, if not, tell me that you didn't...

Nice detail. Maybe the 'total bitch' is a little harsh.

@Arjun Kachru: thanks, if you've ever worked with animals you must know how difficult this kind of shot is.. and yeah i guess it can be but i'm just teasing her :) she's a nice doggy
i guess her name is

@andra: no it's not.

A good macro. Greetings.

@Babul Bhatt: thank you my friend, i do try :)
really great details and great dof. im not sure i understand or see the aged look though.
28 Aug 2007 8:03am
@Nick Passantino: thanks nick, the dof part is usually tricky with my camera since i have f3.5 minimum aperture but with the help of the filters i think it came out ok :) the aged look is a warm yellow toning applied to the image before the rest of the layers and i guess that it's not that obvious unless you saw it like before and after...
I like the image and I like the title - gave me a laugh, with her nose in the air :))!
Honestly, I didn't notice the processing more than to say that the shot definitely caught my eye - which could be considered a success,no? Thank you for the info on the pp tho - I love to know what others do with their photos.

@Lala: hehe, she is a laugh :) and as any small dog, very pompous :) glad it made you laugh :)
indeed that would be a factor by which to judge success, because it's what we all aim for, right? as for the PP info, sure anytime anyone has a question about anything i'm glad to reply and i usually mention that kind of detail when it's something a bit more exotic :)
come to think about your comment, i really should do a before and after show with a few of my photos, just so you see what photoshop does to them. i think it'd be quite a fun thing to watch :)
it's a very big nose and i like the contrast, u increased it quite a lot :D i wonder how would a close up with the dog showing agresively his teeth :))
28 Aug 2007 2:04pm
@zoloper: hehe, actually it's a very little nose and trust me taking the photo of an animal from 2cm is really tough... as for the contrast indeed, i used curves and then some, as well as a bit of levels to start it off... and you know me, i loves me contrast. :)
as for the teeth, dogs don't really like it when you play with their teeth, and they tend to move a lot.. so aggressive teeth is a no-go in my book :)
Stunning close-up! Congrats, you are on the spotlight frontpage! http://www.aminus3.com/

GREAT close up - and the TITLE is WONDERFUL! love it! i think i'm inspired once again by someones words to title one of my pottery pieces that... let me go write it down in my pottery note book so i don't forget such a fab title.

@Rabbit: i think this is just one of the few comments that have really made me so proud of my work :) it's the ability to move people that is what i wanted to do with photography in the first place, I've always wanted people to notice the world around them and love it... Please send me a link so i can see you piece of pottery once it's done and you can't imagine how happy your words make me :)
Wow, that is INTIMATE!
